Chattanooga Trip

So the husband and I got to go away for a few days the first week of June. We didn't want to spend most of our time traveling so we decided to go to Chattanooga, Tennessee which was about 3 hours in the car one way. We left on Sunday after he got off work from the restaurant and headed North.
We stayed at the
Chattanooga Choo Choo
Which is a historic train station turned hotel.
The picture below was the HUGE main lobby.
The gardens that were in the middle of the property.
The train cars that were also hotel rooms. We opted for the regular rooms because these were a little more than what we were willing to spend on a room.

While we were there we wanted to relax and enjoy some time together. Two things we love doing together are eating and seeing the sights.

So we went to Rock City

Then we wen to Ruby Falls. Both places were fun but we will probably not make another trip to either place until we have kids that can participate in the walking and enjoy it.

Now to the good stuff. The FOOD.
The Terminal was our favorite place the whole time we were there. I think we went everyday.
The food was amazing. Most of the ingredients were local which was fun to read about the different businesses.
They also brew their own beer in house which is what we had read all the awesome reviews on. I am not a beer drinker but my husband is into brewing his own beers at home so he loves to try out microbreweries whenever he can. He more than approved.

Lugi's Pizza Pie was also one of the better restaurants we tried. It is kind of like our towns version of Little Italy but better. The ingredients tasted better and it was quick and friendly service.

It was a fun mini vacation and we were able to enjoy a lot of downtown Chattanooga since our hotel was walking distance from so many neat shops.
I am already counting down the days till our next vacation in August (50 days!)

We were happy to get home to our fur child though!

He was happy to see us too!

More than anything I love being able to spend time with the husband. I love having even a few days where we don't have to worry about our schedules, projects, or housework and it gives us the time to just be together. I couldn't be happier than when I am with him and I am so thankful we are able to take these little trips together. It makes working long hours and lots of shifts worth it!

Take it easy,
Tosha
